Kenya – Cheetah Safari

ITINERARY: Kenya – Cheetah safari 7N 8D

DAY 01: MONDAY NAIROBI – ABERDARES

Met on arrival and transfer to the Eka Hotel where refreshments will be served and a safari briefing conducted. Thereafter, drive north
through the rich farming areas arriving at the Ark Lodge arriving in time for lunch (180 kms, approximately 3hrs drive). Spend the rest
of the afternoon at leisure enjoying excellent views of animals visiting the waterhole from the observation platforms of the lodge. Dinner
and overnight at Ark Lodge or similar (Meals included: Lunch and Dinner).

DAY 02: TUESDAY ABERDARES – SAMBURU

Drive north across the equator to the Samburu National Reserve (190 km – approximately 4 hours). You will arrive in time for lunch at
Ashnil Samburu Camp. Late afternoon game drive in the reserve. Overnight: Ashnil Samburu Camp or similar (Meals included:
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

DAY 03: WEDNESDAY SAMBURU

Morning and late afternoon game drives in this open savannah which is traversed by the Ewaso Nyiro River. The river is populated by
hippos and crocodiles, whilst the park is home to a host of animals including several species which are rarely seen in numbers elsewhere,
including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffes and long- necked gerenuks. Overnight: Ashnil Samburu Camp or similar. (Meals included:
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

DAY 04: THURSDAY SAMBURU – ABERDARE COUNTRY CLUB

After breakfast, drive to Aberdare Country Club arriving in time for lunch (205 km – approximately 4 hours). Afternoon game drive in
Solio Conservancy which is internationally recognized as one of the most successful rhino breeding reserves in Africa. Overnight:
Aberdare Country Club or similar (Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

DAY 05: FRIDAY ABERDARE COUNTRY CLUB – LAKE NAIVASHA

After breakfast, descend into the Great Rift Valley and continue to Lake Naivasha (240 km – approximately 4 hours). You will arrive in
time for lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure at the hotel or proceed on any of the available
optional excursions (to book and pay locally). Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar (Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and
Dinner)

DAY 06: SATURDAY LAKE NAIVASHA – MAASAI MARA

Optional boat trip on Lake Naivasha (payable locally). Drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve (320 km – approximately 6 hours).
Arrive in time for lunch at Ashnil Mara followed by an afternoon game drive. Overnight: Ashnil Mara Camp or similar (Meals included:
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

DAY 07: SUNDAY MAASAI MARA

Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Alternatively, take an early morning balloon flight over the Mara
followed by a ‘bubbly’ bush breakfast (optional extra, supplement cost to apply). After lunch, relax before a late afternoon game drive.
Overnight: Ashnil Mara Camp or similar (Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

DAY 8: MONDAY EXTENSION OR HOME

Return to Nairobi by road (325km – approximately 6 hours), or fly from the Mara to Nairobi: morning flight (prices on request).
Refreshments will be served at the Eka Hotel before final transfer to the airport for your outbound international flight or proceed with
own chosen extension (Meals included: Breakfast)

New Maasai Mara Park Regulations:

Road safaris

1 – All departures by road should exit the National Reserve no later than 10am. Any departure after 1000hrs will attract an extra day’s park fees.

Flying safaris

1 – Guests who are residing both inside and outside the Maasai Mara Game Reserve who are departing by air should arrive at the airstrips not later
than 100hrs for morning flights. Afternoon flights departing past 1200hrs will automatically attract extra day park fees.

Optional Extras on Safari:

 Fly Mara to Nairobi: Adult: USD 280 per person, Child: USD 210 per person (15kg luggage allowance on all light aircraft)
 ***Please note clients flying back to Wilson from safari will also be expected to pay for Wilson Airport transfers accordingly.
 Fly Mara to Mombasa (Ukunda): Adult: USD 445 per adult, Child: USD 345 per child below 12 years (15kg luggage allowance on
all light aircraft)
 Additional Park Fees (applicable for afternoon departures from Mara, including Mombasa Air)
01st Jan to 30th June – USD 100.00 per adult / USD 50.00 per child
01ST Jul to 31st Dec – USD $ 200 per adult/USD $ 50.00 per child
 Extra Lunch at Ashnil Mara Camp –USD $ 30 per person

1. The above rates are as per the itineraries given above and are as per the meal plans indicated and include:
 Cost of accommodation on meal plans indicated by BLD (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)
 Cost of all transfers and game-drives conducted in SHARED 4×4 Land Cruiser
 Cost of all park entrance fees as per itinerary
 Services of professional English-speaking driver/guide
 A maximum of 4 singles per group will be charged a single room rate. Any additional singles will be charged at double
room rate
 Any visa fees
 Any international or domestic airfare

Cancellation Policy:

Before 61 days of arrival – No cancellation fee
Between 60 and 50 days of arrival – 15% cancellation fee
Between 49 and 30 days of arrival – 33% cancellation fee
Between 29 and 0 days of arrival – 100% cancellation fee
